        1   UG(Indian classical dance)        SEM -1  Practical:
•      The students are familiarized with the basic concepts of the Indian Classical Dance.
•      The students gain knowledge about technical terms of KATHAK dance e.g.  Taal , Tatkaar , Tora and Tukra etc .
Theory:
·         Student gain the knowledge about the theory of FOLK DANCES OF PUNAJB AND HARYANA ,their costume and  background music.· 
        Student gain the knowledge of origin of dance and its basic concepts.
·         The students gain knowledge about the origin of the subject.The students become aware about the scope and career fields.
  2                  SEM - 2 Practical:
•      The students are familiarized with different  Taal matras e.g. Teentaal and Jhaptaal.
•      Student learned thaat , tora , kavit etc. In teen taal and paran , chakardan paran , amad  in jhaptal . Theory:
•      The students are familiarized with historical Importance of the subject.
•      The students are familiarized with theoretical understanding of the subject i.e.-Tandav, Lasya,  Neck Movements, Eye Glances etc .
   3            SEM - 3  Practical:
•      The students gain knowledge about ektaal , ada chautaal along with teen taal .
•      The students are familiarized with Different Technical Terms in Teentaal and Ada Chautaal. Theory:
•      The students gain knowledge about Development and Present Status of Dance.
•      The students are familiarized with contribution of Dancers and Musicians. Importance of Gayan and Vadan in Kathak Dance. Knowledge about Guru ShishyaParampara.
   4              SEM - 4 PRACTICAL :
•      The students gain knowledge about  Ektaal , Ada chautaal alongwith gatnikas of matki and practical demonstration of bhangra steps .
•      The students are familiarized with nagma in Ada chautaal  . 
Theory:
•      The students are familiarized with historical Importance of the subject.
•      The students are familiarized with theoretical understanding of the importance of ghungroo in khatak dance , knowledge of kathak kali , kathak gharanas and their comparisons etc .
       •      The students gain knowledge about theoretical representation of notation.
   5           SEM - 5 PRACTICAL :
•      The students gain knowledge about SawariTaal and Play theka of SawariTaal on Tabla.
•      Student also gain knowledge about gat nikas of ghunghat and matki practically .
•      The students are familiarized with  Folk Dance of RajasthaniPractically. 
Theory:
•      The students are familiarized with Brief Study of Natya Shastra and Nayak Bheda,Knowledge of Taal and its Dash Pranas.
•      The student are also learned about bhava , characteristics of mohini  attam and techniques of Indian ballet etc .
   6             SEM - 6 PRACTICAL :
•      The students gain knowledge about  Dhamar taal ,Sawari  taal along with teen taal and varieties of technical terms Parans like :-TisrajatiParan ,ChatushrajatiParan, Kavit  etc. In Kathak Dance.
•      The students are familiarized with Knowledge of Sammi Dance ,Gat Bhav ( Panghatki Chhed Chhaad ) and playing theka of dhamar taal on tabla .
Theory:
The students are gain knowledge about history of Kathak Dance , Brief Study of NayikaBheda, Knowledge of DakshiniTaal System  and the contributions of great Dancers and musician etc.                                      

  • ATTAINMENTS : - Students are inspired to pursue higher study in dance field .They obtain the proficiency of doing justice to various jobs related to dance such as teaching as a  choreographer in different dance institutes ,an artist and also can open their own dance institutes . This subject makes the students financial independent in government as well as private sector too .
