Energy club has been constituted in the institution as per the instructions of Punjab Energy Development Agency, with the following objectives:

• To sensitize the students regarding the Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation.
• To achieve the capacity building of students through awareness programmes.
• To generate & disseminate awareness for judicious and sustainable consumption of energy.

To achieve the goals extra-curricular activities related to energy conservation and energy efficiency like- slogan writing, rallies, celebration of energy conservation week, energy conservation exhibition etc will be conducted. These measures would not only help in imparting knowledge on energy efficiency but also in its implementation in households and institutions to save energy.

2	August 29 , 2025	Tree plantation on Van Mahotsav	The Energy Club celebrated Van Mahotsav to promote awareness about the importance of trees and environmental conservation. The event aimed to in still a sense of responsibility among students toward protecting nature and maintaining ecological balance. As part of the celebration, students actively participated in plantation activities and awareness initiatives highlighting the role of trees in combating climate change, conserving biodiversity, and ensuring a sustainable future. The celebration encouraged eco-friendly values and reinforced the message that tree plantation is a vital step toward environmental sustainability. 3	September 29, 2025	Declamation competition	The Energy Club organized a Declamation Competition on the topic “Floods in Punjab: The Forgotten Lessons of 1988” to sensitize students about natural disasters and the importance of sustainable environmental practices. The competition provided a platform for students to express their views on the causes, consequences, and long-term lessons of the devastating floods, emphasizing disaster management, environmental degradation, and human responsibility. Participants presented their thoughts with confidence and clarity, demonstrating strong awareness and critical thinking. 4	October 17, 2025	Slogan making competition	The Energy Club organized a Green Diwali Celebration in the form of a Slogan Writing Competition on the theme “Save Energy, Celebrate Green Diwali” to promote eco-friendly and energy-efficient festive practices. The event aimed to spread awareness about reducing noise pollution, conserving electricity, and adopting sustainable alternatives during festivals. Students participated enthusiastically and presented impactful slogans advocating for a pollution-free and energy-conscious Diwali.
