Gender Champion Club



The Gender Champion Club is a Government sector program conducted by Ministry of Women and Child Development .The broad mandate of a Gender Champion is to provide an integrated and interdisciplinary approach to understand the social and cultural and constructions of gender that shape the experiences of women and men in society. The aim is to make young boys and girls gender sensitive and create positive social norms that value the girls and their rights.

Gender Champions Club Activities : Session 2023-24

1 12 August, 2023 International Youth Day The students were awared regarding the importance of youth in changing the world through poster making and essay writing competition. Our guest speaker ,Mr.Parveen gave speech on the teaching of swami vivekanand ji.  
2 14 August, 2023 Har Ghar Tiranga Under Har Ghar Tiranga campaign students sent picture with their family holding national flag to commemorate 77th Independence day and remembered our unsung Heros.
3 14 August, 2023 Infertility in Humans Madhavi Vashisht, our guest speaker gave a speech on the rising issues of infertility in human beings in the present time and awared our volunteers about it's casues, effects and preventions to safeguard ourselves.
4 15 August, 2023 Independence day On the occasion of independence day, a speech was given by our worthy mam principal, Mrs. Suman Lata ji . She remembered our freedom fighters and encouraged students to keep them alive in their hearts through walking on their teachings.
5 2 January,2024 Lecture on woman Empowerment In collabration with NSS Gender Champion club  organised a lecture on women empowerment .Guest of honour BK Jyotsa delivered a lecture on topic: Women - World's Outstanding Men which motivated the volunteers and taught them the importance of women as Shakti
6 26 January,2024 Republic day The Gender Champion Club pulsating with patriotic fervor, commemorated the 75th Republic Day in a ceremony replete with solemnity and grandeur. Principal mam graced the occasion as the chief guest, unfurled the tricolor with resolute hands, its vibrant hues unfurling against the azure sky like a testament to India's unwavering spirit. In her stirring address, she wove a narrative of India's glorious journey, highlighting the sacrifices of freedom fighters and the unwavering spirit of unity that stitched the diverse tapestry of our nation. The ceremony culminated with a collective pledge, led by the Principal, where each member of the club, voices resonating in unison, vowed to uphold the democratic spirit of national unity and peace. It was a moment etched in time, a powerful reminder of the collective responsibility we shoulder as citizens of this vibrant democracy.

1. 15-08-2024 Independence Day 60 The Gender Champion Club celebrated Independence Day with full vigour and enthusiasm. The celebration instilled the values of patriotism and nationalism in volunteers. It made volunteers remember the sacrifices of our Freedom Fighters.
2. 21-08-2024 Registration on My Bharat Portal 60 The volunteers of Gender Champion Club registered themselves on My Bharat Portal, thus giving them the opportunity to know about recent government developments in the field of service. This further helps them to be a responsible and aware volunteer.
3. 04-09-2024 PPT Presentation on Cyber Awareness 25 The Gender Champion Club organised a PPT presentation competition on the theme of Cyber Awareness. The event highlighted the significance of being cyber secure in the ever evolving dynamic environment.
4. 21-09-2024 Nukkad Natak 50 The volunteers of Gender Champion Club performed a Nukkad Natak on the theme of Swachhta Hi Seva. The event showcased and highlighted the significance of cleanliness and sanitation.
5. 23-09-2024 Swachhta Hi Seva 25 Taking forward the spirit of Nukkad Natak, the volunteers of Gender Champion Club performed cleanliness and sanitation activity in the college campus, thus highlighting the significance of cleanliness begins from our own surroundings.
6. 27-09-2024 Red Ribbon Club Meeting 60 The volunteers of Gender Champion Club attended the advocacy meeting of the Red Ribbon Club, wherein they got to know about HIV/Aids, its causes, effects and social stigma in the society.  Volunteers learnt to see beyond stigma and disease and thus move towards awareness.
7. 02-10-2024 Swachhta Diwas 55 The volunteers of Gender Champion Club in collaboration with the Nehru Yuva Kendra, Ludhiana celebrated Swachhta Diwas to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, thus learning from his values and beliefs.
8. 09-10-2024 Pinktober 70 The Volunteers of Gender Champion Club celebrated Pinktober Day organised at Guru Nanak Bhawan under the theme: “Empowering Women, Saving Lives”. The event featured iconic Mahima Chaudhary spreading awareness about breast cancer and breaking stereotypes around it.
9. 12-01-2025 National Youth Day 20 The volunteers of Gender Champion Club celebrated National Youth Day by organising face painting competition on the theme: Youth Development. It showcased creativity and talent of volunteers in a unique way.
10. 24-01-2025 – 25-01-2025 National Voter’s Day 70 The volunteers of Gender Champion Club became a part of State Level National Voter’s Day celebration on 24th and 25th January. The first day witnessed state level quiz competition while the second day witnessed cultural event, prize distribution , pledge taking ceremony; emphasising the significance of electoral process and participation. It highlighted the role of a citizen in democratic process of the nation.

2 10-08-25 Placard making competition 10 The Gender Champion Club organised Placard-Making Competition under the inspiring theme “Break Stereotypes, Bring Equality” showcasing powerful messages that challenge unfair labels and promote fairness for all. Participants creatively highlighted the importance of building a world where everyone is valued equally.
3 22-08-25 DIY bookmark mania 15 The Gender Champion Club organised “DIY Bookmark Mania” under the theme “Inspiring the Next Generation: Education and Youth in Action.” Participants enthusiastically designed unique and innovative bookmarks, reflecting their understanding of the importance of education.
4   27-08-25 Poster making competition 10 The Gender Champion Club organised the Poster-making Competition on the theme “HIV – AIDS : Test and Triumph” which encouraged students to express powerful messages about testing, early diagnosis, and hope through art, boosting awareness and compassion on campus. It nurtured leadership and empathy among participants, empowering them to become peer advocates for health and inclusion.
5 29-08-25 National sports day 12 The Gender Champion Club  celebrated “National Sports Day” with great enthusiasm and spirit. The event was organized to mark the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, the legendary hockey player, and to highlight the importance of sports in building discipline, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle. Exciting games such as Treasure Hunt and Lemon & Spoon Race were conducted.
6 01-09-25 Badge making competition 10 The Gender Champion Club in collaboration with Red Ribbon Club organised a Badge Making Competition  on the theme: “Young India, Strong India”. A large number of participants showcased their talent by designing unique and meaningful badges
7   08-09-25 Handkerchief painting activity 10 The Gender Champion Club in collaboration with Red Ribbon Club organised  “Handkerchief Painting Activity” under the themes ‘Respect is a Right, Not a Favor’ and ‘HIV Can’t Define Me’, aiming to raise awareness on important social issues like HIV stigma and importance of a gender neutral society. Participants were encouraged to express their creativity and reflect ideas of strength, resilience, equality, breaking HIV stigma and justice through their artwork
8 09-09-25 Hope tree activity 45 The Gender Champion Club, in collaboration with the Red Ribbon Club, organized an activity named “Hope Tree” under the inspiring theme “Hope, Health, and Equality for All”. This activity encouraged participants to reflect on important social values by writing positive messages and aspirations on colorful papers, which were then attached to a tree. The main goal of the activity was to spread awareness about the significance of hope, good health, and gender equality in building a better future.
9   11-09-25 Grafitti event 40 The Gender Champion Club, organized  a magnificent event named “Graffiti event”. This event provided an opportunity for students to creatively express their thoughts, suggestions, and messages supporting HIV/AIDS awareness for healthy and informed living as well as gender sensitivity and respect for a fair and equal society. Students enthusiastically participated by writing their suggestions.
10 14-09-25 Cartooning competition 10 The Gender Champion Club organized an online Cartooning Competition under the theme “Voices Against Harassment” to encourage participants to express their views on gender equality, respect, empowerment, justice, and dignity through creative and impactful cartoons.
11 17-09-25 Collage making activity 10 the Gender Champion Club, in collaboration with the Red Ribbon Club, organised a collage making activity on the theme “One Nation, One Health.” The event aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of unified efforts for health and well-being across the nation. The activity witnessed active participation from volunteers, who showed great enthusiasm and creativity.
12   20-08-25 Hand band making 10 The Gender Champion Club organised the activity “Bands that Speak, Hands that Heal.” The event was conducted with the purpose of spreading awareness about compassion, care, and equality about HIV/AIDS Survivors. Students enthusiastically participated in the activity with full energy and creativity. They prepared colourful and meaningful bands with thoughtful messages.
13 22-08-25 Kite making competition 10 The Gender Champion Club in collaboration with Red Ribbon Club successfully conducted a “Kite Making and Designing Activity” on the theme “Mental Health Matters”. The activity aimed to spread awareness about the importance of mental health through creativity and innovation. Students participated enthusiastically by designing beautiful and meaningful kites
14 24-09-25 Pot painting 6 The Gender Champion Club organized a “Pot Painting Competition” under the theme “Drug Abuse”, aiming to spread awareness about its harmful effects on mental and physical health. Students actively participated in this competition expressing their creativity through powerful designs and impactful messages.
15 29-09-25 Selfie booth 45 The Gender Champion Club organised a special Selfie Booth at the college campus,  where students enthusiastically participated by clicking pictures with a specially designed Instagram-themed frame promoting and focusing on ideas of Awareness, Compassion, Equality and Inclusivity.
16 01-10-25 Decoding your plate making smart nutrition choices 8 The Gender Champion Club successfully conducted the activity “Decoding Your Plate: Making Smart Nutrition Choices” under the theme “Poshan Maah”. The main aim of the activity was to create awareness about the importance of a healthy, nutritious, and balanced diet. Volunteers enthusiastically participated by preparing homemade dishes that were both healthy and creative
17  05-10-25 T-shirt painting activity 9 The Gender Champion Club organized a T-Shirt Painting Activity on the theme “Voluntary Blood Donation”. The event aimed to promote awareness about the importance of donating blood voluntarily and saving lives through creative expression. Participants enthusiastically showcased their artistic skills by painting meaningful messages and designs on T-shirts with various colours.
18   08-10-25 Cityneeds Daan Utsav 4.0 40 The Gender Champion Club organised a Donation Drive under the ongoing CityNeeds Daan Utsav 4.0. The initiative was aimed at promoting the values of generosity, compassion, and social responsibility among students. As part of this, volunteers contributed wholeheartedly by donating a wide variety of useful items, including clothes, stationery, notebooks, books, toys, dry ration and medicines
19 26-01-26  Republic Day 70 The Gender Champion Club celebrated 77th Republic Day with great pride and patriotism. The programme began with the unfurling of the National Flag, followed by the National Anthem. Speeches were delivered highlighting the significance of Republic Day and the importance of the Indian Constitution.
