In the era of 21st century, where advancements have been noticed in every sphere of scientific and social life, the beauty world has also expanded leaps and bounds. The external looks are considered more important than the internal beauty. Keeping in view the on-going global trend and the considered criteria of personality judgement, the beauty world has also been growing fast. Along with beauty, the concept of wellness is equally important for an individual to be a successful entrepreneur, which is the key objective of skill enhancement of students in a particular institute. Keeping all these facts in view a course on beauty and wellness was started in college in 2015. Due to great demand of the course in beauty industry and considering the interest of students in mind, Advance Diploma in Beauty and Wellness was started in 2018 and thereafter in session (2019-20), the degree course, BVOC (Global Professionals in Beauty and Aesthetics) & in session 2022-23 M.Sc ( Cosmetology & Health Care) has been started. The course curriculum ensures adequate practical training and the vast theoretical knowledge to the students. After completion of professional training in Beauty and Wellness, one can start the career in the beauty industry as a nail art specialist, skin, therapist, hair trainer or can become the professional saloon owner. As an entrepreneurship venture, this course can transform living standards of society particularly women, which in other professions may not get comfortable jobs even after attaining higher qualifications. In other words this course provides personal growth through skill based education in women and provide respect in society, which is the need of the hour. Inculcating technical skills can fetch good jobs in the rural as well as urban society.

The session was conducted by the resource person Mr. Saddam Husain, who shared valuable insights on different hair colouring techniques, types of hair colours, shade selection, and safety measures. The class also included practical demonstrations, which helped students understand the application process and current trends in hair colouring and highlights.

8 24-11-2025 One day bridal makeup workshop by Payal Batra 90 Bridal Makeup workshop was organized by the Department of Beauty and Wellness. The session was conducted by the resource person Ms. Payal Batra, who shared professional techniques related to bridal makeup, including skin preparation, base application, eye makeup, contouring, highlighting, and final finishing.
